This blog will concentrate on the truth whether genetically engineering is good or bad for human being, genetic engineering is widely used in 21 first sentry, it uses in the area of human health and GE food (hybird rice), but will that suit us? There is also a lot of protest on genetic technology and what is the reason behind all these?
In recent years, scientist uses genetic technology and place inside of living organisms, by doing these to increase effectiveness of crowing. As we known both chemical and biological combination is genetic engineering!
Research has found out that cancer is a "genetic disease" which means it is under an inheritable condition. A result of genetic disease usually cause from changes to an organism's genetic material (DNA). Tumor formation is early stage of becoming an ontogenesis. The infection of tumor virus is caused by cell mutation. Genetic mutation repair mechanisms is a new technology, it fixes errors of DNA repair sequence in 3 different ways of Base excision, Nucleotide and Mismatch repair. Which means cancer can be defeatable by biochemical technology, although it has not been used widely but I believe in the future cancer will not be a dead disease for human being.
Many people think genetic engineering give them lot of opportunities in the area of plants, medical animal and humans. Some people think that genetically altered society the egg should be thrown away, but yet still some parents wanted their child to be a way they wanted to be. There are ways to remove genes like aggression, despite everyone in the world should be unique, if there no people on earth doesn’t have any temper there will be no wars? Some parents wanted child to be smart tall and skinny in future they can become as a model, and quiet few parents wanted their child be strong and tough become as a sports player. Why do they care about the food they eat but not their offspring? In a research of human genetic engineering, reported over 30 genetically altered babies had born in the year of 2001, the reason of that because the child’s mother has infertility problems by taking someone else gene then their child will be healthy.
There always been a strong reason of people disagree with GE. The Huntington’s disease one of the well-known genetic disease, in the year of 1872 inherited disease affect a large amount of people in United State, in the area of bursts of anger, violence, depression, memory lost, confusion and so on. Which all these effects result from destruction of small but vital areas of the brain named the basal ganglia, destruction masterminded by a single dominant gene. Huntington's disease affects around 4000 people; the real disaster is that their offspring will get a 50% of chance getting the same disease.
As we move on to crops, it reminds us of the father of hybrid rice yuanlong ping. Now many people do not what is hybrid rice, it offers an opportunity to increase rice yield and ensure a steady supply. Until now China has used hybrid rice technology to help feed more than 20 percent of the world's population using 10 percent of the world's total arable land, which are 60 million people every year.
The foods that have been genetically altered can be more nutritious and delicious, but people say harmful long term effects have yet to be seen in consumers. Although genetically technology has made a big progress, but will there be potentially dangerous? but until now there are no such clear evidence about death of Genetically modified food. Let us look on the advantage of genetic technology, it provides Pest resistance, herbicide tolerance, disease resistance, cold tolerance and Drought tolerance. It is a hard decision for a government to establish process to monitor the effect of genetic modified foods, because we humans are highly dependent on genetic technology. Yet genetic modified food taking political, social and economic climate Different government are responding differently.
In conclusion I have seen that many have complaint about (GMO) genetically modified organisms that might affect our bodies. In agriculture, people rely on crops that most growing crops are using genetic technology, and people think that might occur virus or pest develop but there is no actual evidence on this because in a research that famers spray over 970 million of chemical on plants and it doesn’t seems influence most of the people. Genetically medicine has made a big progress for whose ongoing genetic disease like cancer. If we stop investigating and examination there won't be any answers, my point of view one day genetically technology will take us to a bright future.
